Link guidelines

A short, calm code of conduct for Luceria Link. These rules sit alongside our Acceptable Use Policy.

The basics

  • Be practical. Share experience, lessons, questions and progress — not opinions for the sake of it.
  • Be kind. Treat other members like colleagues you respect, especially when they're struggling.
  • Don't expose private documents or personal data. No CVs, recruiter messages, personal emails, addresses, phone numbers, screenshots of private messages, or anyone's sensitive personal information. Publishing someone's private details (doxxing) is never allowed.
  • Report what's wrong. Every post, comment and profile has a Report option. Reporting is anonymous to other members.

Fraud, scams and fake opportunities

Protecting members from job and recruitment scams is core to what Luceria does. The following are strictly prohibited and will be removed:

  • • Fake job adverts, “ghost” jobs and fake recruitment opportunities.
  • • Phishing links or attempts to harvest logins, documents or personal data.
  • • Impersonating an employer, recruiter, university or Luceria itself.
  • • Advance-fee or “pay to apply / pay for a guaranteed job” offers, and requests for upfront payments or bank details.
  • • Pyramid schemes, MLM recruitment, and other get-rich-quick offers.
  • • Posting a suspicious opportunity as if it were a genuine recommendation.

Not sure about an opportunity? Use the Risk Check tool before sharing it — don't post it as a recommendation. If you have lost money or handed over details to a scam, report it to Action Fraud (UK: 0300 123 2040).

Also not allowed

  • Illegal content — anything unlawful, or that encourages or facilitates a crime.
  • Harassment and abuse — bullying, threats, hateful or demeaning content, or targeting another member.
  • Impersonation — pretending to be another person, a company, a recruiter or Luceria.
  • Defamation — false statements of fact that damage someone's reputation.
  • Confidential information — disclosing information you're not allowed to share (e.g. an employer's confidential material).
  • Spam — mass advertising, repetitive or off-topic promotion.

How moderation works, and your responsibility

Luceria does not review or pre-approve posts, comments or profiles before they appear. You are responsible for what you post and for the accuracy of what you share. We may remove, restrict, moderate or preserve content — and warn, restrict or suspend accounts — where we consider it necessary for the safety of members, to comply with the law, or to investigate or enforce these guidelines and our Acceptable Use Policy.

When you report something, it goes to our moderation queue. We review reports and keep an internal record of the decisions we make. You won't usually hear back directly about the outcome.

What Luceria Link is not

Luceria Link is a community, not a careers advisor, lawyer, accountant or mental-health service. It is not legal, medical or financial advice. If you're in crisis, please contact Samaritans (UK: 116 123, free, 24/7).
